Sylvapack and the link with Tree Aid – March 2004


Our environmental print route, SylvaPack, has been running for 3 years now.

SylvaPack has the following features:

Sylvapack provides a paper swatch and advice on the least environmentally damaging new and recycled papers.

Severnprint’s power is purchased from Ecotricity suppliers of locally generated renewable electricity from landfill gas and wind power sources.

Severnprint sorts all waste at source and uses waste minimisation initiatives to reduce almost all inputs into the business

Packing for Sylvapack items can be in reusable boxes - which we can collect and re-use

A donation is made to Tree Aid to support tree planting in sub-Saharan Africa and in Ethiopia.

The SylvaPack scheme has generated a donation to Tree Aid of £5,311. The last project has been fully funded but a new project (Gh070) which is based in Kamega, Ghana.

This project is called the ‘Community Nursery and Family Woodlots’ project.
