Litho Printing
Lithographic printing enables the most creative of effects on a wide range of papers. Typically litho printing provides leaflets, brochures, stationery items, books, newsletters, calendars and direct mail.
Litho printing is the best method of printing for print runs of more than 300 – 500 copies. Shorter runs than this are normally cheaper to print digitally providing they will fit on the smaller sheet size approx 320x480mm.
Severnprint can litho print on a range of presses up to B2 size (700 x 500mm). We can print in upto 6 colours and also can coat, varnish or seal the item at the same time as printing. There is also a 2 colour press that can print in 1 colour on 2 sides in the same pass (perfecting) ideal for single colour books.
Sustainable printing. Severnprint actively encourages printing on papers which are produced with a high proportion of recycled fibre (up to 100% in some cases).
Our most recent environmental improvements are in litho printing - we no longer use alcohol on the presses and by processing the litho plates on the press we have saved 400,000l of water a year plus many barrels of chemicals.
