Severn to produce ‘Greta and the Giants’ inspired by Nobel Peace Prize Nominee

Being one of the UK’s most prominent environmental printing companies has now seen Gloucester-based company Severn be awarded with an incredibly prestigious project from Frances Lincoln Children’s Books, an imprint of The Quarto Group, to print a children’s book, Greta and the Giants.

The book, written by Zoë Tucker and illustrated by Zoe Persico, is inspired by Nobel Peace Prize Nominee Greta Thunberg, the Swedish teenager who has led a global movement to raise awareness about the world’s climate crisis, and uses allegory to make this important topic accessible to young children.

The story itself is a thought provoking and relevant one, where in the narrative giants threaten the beautiful forest that Greta loves and so she sets about helping the animals who live there. It’s beautifully illustrated and a wonderful tale of taking action to stand up for what you believe in.

When it came to selecting a printer, it was essential that the book was printed by a company with a strong environmental profile. As Severn is an environmental award-winning business and is continuously looking to ensure that all their operations are as environmentally focused as possible, they were delighted to be approached.

“We are thrilled to be producing this wonderful and worthwhile book. I am sure many people will choose to buy a copy, given the importance of the subject matter and the good causes behind it.’’ said Ian Smith, Managing Director

Greta and the Giants will be available for purchase on 19th November 2019. A donation of 3% of the cover price will be made to Greenpeace UK.
