Canon interview Severn about investment

Canon wanted to hold this interview with us as we are the first company in the UK to install their VarioPrint iX sheetfed inkjet press.

Inkjet technology is already transforming the services we offer to our clients and our latest investment is no exception. When it comes to customer requirements, what we’ve noticed over the last 2 years is that there’s a major drive towards short run and on demand services that have increased exponentially. Our investment strategy has been driven by these changes in customer buying patterns and the requirement to maintain high quality output at any run length. In addition we’ve also ensured that we found equipment that has synergies across all our markets production needs.

We’ve found that the important benefits when comparing inkjet with toner or offset alternatives are repeatability and consistency of the output without the need for constant calibration, the speed to market, and the environmental benefits.
